We are excited to invite alumni and friends of many ages and stages — former campers, current or former parents, staff, and families — to join us for a weekend of service and community as we prepare for another summer of fun and magic on the Preserve.
Volunteer weekend is for all GRP alumni who want to return to camp for a weekend of unbargaining service and help open camp for the season! Working as a team, we will clean and open the cabins, lodge, trails and get GRP ready for school programs and summer camp. This is a great time to gather a group of Alumni friends or to meet other GRP Alumni and to spend a unique weekend at GRP giving back and helping us prepare to welcome a new group of campers.
The weekend will begin Saturday morning and end Sunday afternoon. In exchange for your hard work, we will be providing housing on base camp, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We will also have a fire, songs, and s’mores on Saturday night to reward ourselves after a hard day’s work.
This weekend is designed for our Alumni who are 18 years or older. In order to register, please complete this form, you will then hear back from Catherine to confirm your registration. Registration is limited so sign up soon. We hope to see you there!
Yes. However, if you have questions about this or a unique situation please contact
You must be 18 or older.
Since you are spending your weekend giving back to GRP, we will provide all meals while you are here Saturday-Sunday.
Yes. Please sign up ASAP before the spots fill.
Please notify as soon as you know you can’t come. This way a spot will be open for someone else.
We will all meet at the Lodge on Saturday morning. From there we will divvy up the tasks that need to be accomplished throughout the weekend. The schedule and tasks will depend on the number of people that sign up and their preferences.
We understand that the drive to GRP may be long for some people. If you need to come on Friday night please indicate this on the registration form and Catherine will be in touch to figure out those details.
While we are beyond excited to see so many friends of GRP gathered together for the weekend, please leave your pets, worries, work, and electronics behind. Part of our mission is to disconnect from the rest of the world and reconnect with nature and we hope that we can all support this goal together.
