Camp Mom

This will be Barbara Johnson’s sixth year as Camp Mom at GRP. Barbara has two children that both attend GRP. One who will earn his walking stick this summer! When Barbara isn’t enjoying the beauty and magic of GRP, she is in Naples, Florida. In Naples, Barbara is the Director of the Veterans Park Children’s Program for the Collier County Recreation Department. She holds a degree in Education from Florida Gulf Coast University. Barbara loves working with and teaching children. She believes children are curious and active learners that need to interact with their physical and social environments in order to learn and understand new concepts. Indeed, children learn through play. Barbara looks forward to an amazing summer at Green River Preserve.
