Bring your sense of adventure and cook beside the river, sleep under the stars, and hike with your crew to one of your favorite GRP destinations.
Our summer camp season starts in June, so we are opening up camping for 1 weekend: May 21st - 23rd, 2021. We are offering three of our platform tents for primitive camping - the Upper Bald Field shelter, the Hemlock Field shelter, and the Prayer Rock shelter - the latter two are located down by the Green River (“…where paradise lay”).
Once you confirm your reservation, we will contact you with directions to your campsite, a trail map and a pass for your vehicle. Included with your rental fee are private access to the shelter and the land, a stockpile of wood, and a $50 tax-deductible donation to GRP.
Day passes and camping will be limited this Spring due to School programs. Please reach out to for availability. Summer Camp starts May 25th, and we will not be offering Day Passes or Camping during that time. Please look at our summer camp session dates if your child wants to explore the trails with us this summer!

Unfortunately, no. We have turned off all utilities and do not have the staff to allow for safe supervision.
There is no cell service or wifi access on our property. You will truly be offline while here.
We kindly ask that you do not go to basecamp while you are visiting. We know this is hard, but we have ongoing projects at this time and want to keep those working and living on property safe and as isolated as they want to be.
No more than 10 people at a campsite. If you have more people, we ask that you rent an additional campsite. Hemlock Field and Prayer Rock are close and would be good to rent together if you have more than 10.
Yes. Please keep your dog on a leash at all times if they are camping with you. We want to protect the wildlife and your beloved pet while on the property.
All campsites are within 300 yards of the parking area. A parking map will be provided in your information packet.
You can pay us through Venmo (@GreenRiver-preserve) of Pay Pal. Payement is required before your arrival. Please make sure to denote that this is for camping in the notes section.
Email for availability. Once you confirm your date and campsite, you will need to pay for your reservation. After payment is received, you will be sent several forms to fill out, as well as the campsite rules, directions, and parking pass.
If you want to fish while camping at Hemlock Field or Prayer rock it is an extra $35 per person for the day. Please purchase a fishing license in order to fish and let Catherine know. Fly fishing only, all catch and release and please use only barbless hooks.
