RSVP to Volunteer Week!
2025 Volunteer Week - April 7-13
We are excited to invite alumni and friends of many ages and stages — former campers, current or former parents, staff, and families — and the greater community to join us for a week of service and camaraderie as we prepare for another exciting season of programming at GRP. You do not have to stay and volunteer the entire week–any time you can give is valuable and appreciated. You also do not have to specifically be a GRP alumi. If you’re looking to help us with trail work and opening camp for the season, you are invited!
We welcome volunteers ages 16+. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Volunteer week is for all GRP alumni and folks who want to come to camp for a week (or any amount of time you can spare) of unbargaining service and help open camp for the season! After the havoc of Helene, we’ve got more than a bit of work to do around the property. If you’re wondering what we’ll be doing, the answer is trail work, followed by trail work, with some potential trails work on the side. Working as a team, we’ll clean and open the cabins, the lodge, the trails (lots of trail work) and get GRP ready for school programs and summer camp. This is a great time to gather a group of Alumni or friends, or to meet other GRP Alumni, and to spend a unique week at GRP giving back and helping us prepare to welcome a new group of campers.
The week will begin Monday morning and officially end the following Sunday. There is an option to stay on through Sunday if you simply can’t get enough GRP. In exchange for your hard work, we will be providing housing on base camp, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
This week is designed for our Alumni and folks who are 16+. Registration information coming soon!
