Outer Banks Expeditions Leader

Melanie is overjoyed to be returning to GRP for her fourth year as an expedition leader. Originally from Louisiana and growing up taking family camping trips in the Blue Ridge and Ozark Mountains, Mel has pursued personal and professional endeavors in the outdoors that have taken her to beautiful places around the country and world. Mel recently earned a Master of Science in Agriculture Education at the University of Tennessee, where she also worked as the graduate assistant for UT’s Outdoor Program; leading various outdoor adventure trips, teaching an undergraduate outdoor leadership course, instructing yoga, and going trail running and mountain biking with her students. Mel is ready to be back in the GRP groove and can’t wait to meet all of the expeditioners!
