Martha has been an archaeologist since 1994. She discovered Green River Preserve when her children began attending summer camp in 2010. By 2011 she began archaeological investigations at GRP. Over the years there have been many opportunities for the campers to participate in archaeology from digging shovel tests, excavating archaeology units, washing artifacts and more. Martha enjoys leading mentor hikes in the mornings and introducing archaeology and Native Americans to the campers, then walking the trails of GRP discovering evidence of Native Americans throughout the preserve. Your camper will leave GRP with a greater understanding of the people who inhabited this area thousands of years before Green River Preserve.
