Embracing the Wild Within

In the heart of the wilderness, where the quiet murmurs of nature speak volumes, lies a sanctuary for the now and future stewards of the earth—Green River Preserve. It’s much more than a summer camp; it’s a journey into the essence of what makes us human.

We are the wild ones, the students with inquisitive minds, the teachers with stories to tell, the dreamers painting canvases of imagination, and the doers shaping reality with their hands. We are the singers whose melodies echo through the trees, the songwriters penning anthems of the untamed heart, adventurers scaling the heights of possibility, and explorers delving into the mysteries of the earth.

At GRP, we are seekers of truth, armed with the courage to question and the compassion to care. Our quest for knowledge is as boundless as the starlit sky above our evening campfires. Here, the Woodcraft Laws serve as our compass, guiding us with principles of respect and wisdom. The culture of kindness that permeates our camp is the fertile soil from which our community grows—strong, interconnected, and nurturing.

Each day here is an opportunity to discover the best versions of ourselves. It’s a place where laughter is the soundtrack of our adventures, and every path leads to self-discovery. We forge friendships as enduring as the Blue Ridge Mountains and create memories as vivid as the sunsets that grace our evenings.

We’re in the three-week now, the height of summer camp, where the wild-hearted roam and the spirit of discovery floats around the atmosphere. At this point in the session we are more than just campers—we are a united family, bound by the untamed spirit that thrives within us all. Here, our bonds grow stronger with every shared adventure, every laugh, and every moment of wonder.
