Alden grew up spending as much time outside as he possibly could. Flipping logs and stones just to see what sort of creepy crawlies he could find. After a childhood like that he chose to pursue an a bachelor’s in environmental science, and his appreciation grew far deeper and more respectful. After completing his bachelor’s, he decided a master’s degree in geography with the intent of going into sustainable development would allow him to have the biggest positive impact on the environment. His favorite outdoor activity is hunting for waterfalls to swim in, especially in the warm summer months! This summer will be a very exciting return to GRP for him after attending camp almost a decade ago and he can’t wait to see what camp is like from the other side!
