Leia grew up in Minnesota, which basically means she was raised half on land, half in a lake. Some of her best memories come from a cabin, where days were filled with major tubing wipeouts, night swimming, and confidently calling herself a “fisher-women” while mostly just untangling lines and hoping for the best. That love for the outdoors stuck with herso she decided to study it. Two years were spent in Wisconsin in Outdoor Education. Leia learned how to turn hiking, camping, and even getting slightly lost into meaningful, “educational” experiences. From there, she made the move to New Hampshire to continue her journey in Adventure Education, where things really started to take off. In New Hampshire, Leia discovered a deeper love for hiking and rock climbing. She went from being an outdoor kid to someone who willingly hikes uphill for fun and thinks hanging off a rock face is a great way to spend a day. It’s been the perfect mix of challenge, adrenaline, and the occasional “why am I doing this?” moment that somehow keeps pulling her back in. Now, she’s heading to North Carolina to join GRP and she couldn’t be more stoked. Leia is excited to spend her days outside, help others discover their own love for the outdoors in their own way. Leia also would be stoked to make some new friends.
