Hi, I’m Matthew!

Counselor

Matthew was born and raised in the Raleigh-Durham area by his loving family. As a child, Matthew loved to hang out with neighborhood friends, read books, and ride his bike. Matthew was a Cub Scout and later a Boy Scout, he always enjoyed the camping trips. He also sang in choirs and performed in school plays. Matthew was never good at sports like baseball or basketball, but later he would fall in love with long distance running, and helped win a Cross Country State Championship in High School. Matthew has always spent lots of time outside and has become obsessed with nature, so much so that he has made Biology the subject of his studies at Saint Louis University. This Summer, Matthew will be working at Green River Preserve. Here, he seeks to help build a community and inspire children to love their world, love themselves, and love each other.
