A nomad in his earlier years, Tyler’s experience in nature was diverse if nothing else. The forests of Birmingham, rivers of Memphis, white sands of the Outer Banks, watersheds of Mobile, and gray skies of Cleveland each offered their own wonders. Aside from whipping up earth potions and fighting evil trees, he hiked, swam, and served seven tours of GRP – expeditions included. The Preserve had a hold on his heart, but summers are no time for idle hands and Tyler was working age. He’d been coaching youth golf in Ohio and then studying international relations, Arabic, and acting at William & Mary. Slowly the camp’s grip loosened. Yet, as these things do, it squeezed once again. Now it’s YEAR ONE all over again in the ‘home away from home’.
