Hi, I’m Zoe!

Blue Ridge Expedition Leader

A local to the area, Zoë grew up just down the mountain in Brevard, NC. She has spent many summers as a camper, expeditioner, and staff member here at Green River Preserve. This will be Zoë’s second summer as an expedition leader! Zoë is currently a student at Sewanee: The University of the South. She is majoring in Environment and Sustainability and minoring in Education. She is also an Alumni of the Outdoor Academy. Zoë discovered her love for the outdoors on the banks of North Carolina’s beautiful rivers and streams. She has been flyfishing and exploring creeks for as long as she can remember. Beyond flyfishing, Zoë’s love for backpacking began after her first GRP campout! Last year she was thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail with her brother, before the trail closed. In her free time, you can find around the woods, catching trout, flipping rocks, laughing a lot, and hanging out around the campfire. This summer, Zoë hopes to form meaningful connections within the expedition group and make some awesome memories together!
