Senior Mentor

Born in Durham, NC, Jonathan spent most of his life living in coastal South Carolina. At 15, he began a career as a professional musician. In 2001, while looking for a summer camp for his young daughter, he encountered the Green River Preserve. Joining the camp staff first as a music coordinator, he quickly realized a love for teaching and learning with children in the outdoors, and became a mentor. When not working at GRP or playing bass around the globe, Jonathan can be found playing music, reading, and exploring nature with his wife Hayne and their three teenage children who live at the Preserve year-round
