Need help finding the 2013 camper videos?

You may have received information this week on how to access the 2013 slideshows. If you are having difficulty locating the videos, please follow the directions below.

  1. To access the videos, search for “Green River Preserve” on the Vimeo homepage.
  2. On the right-hand side of the screen, click on the button that says “People.”
  3. Select Green River Preserve (You’ll see our logo!)
  4. Click on “1 Album.”
  5. The “Summer 2013” album should be there and you can enter in the password to see the videos.

Keep an eye out for those Grand Slaminals this week! Ruby has had multiple turkey sightings over the past two weeks on the Preserve. Where is your best opportunity to see a Grand Slaminal when you are not at camp?

Ruby began her career in camping at YMCA Camp Widjiwagan in her hometown of Nashville, TN. At Camp Widjiwagan, she was a counselor who progressed over the years to camp administration. Prior to moving to Western North Carolina, Ruby taught experiential education at Nature’s Classroom Atop Lookout Mountain in Mentone, AL. Ruby found Green River Preserve to be a perfect blend of everything she loves: teaching environmental education, being curious about nature, calling contra-dances, singing about Itty Bitty Frogs, and learning from other outdoor educators. She is active within the American Camp Association, giving presentations at conferences and working as a faculty member of their e-Institute. Ruby is also an avid geocacher, runner, and Rubik’s-cube solver.
