Surprise from Star

One of our beloved mentors, Star Ellis, stopped by Base Camp last week to spread his specific brand of Star-magic!

He was up to his old tricks at the Cordwood Cottage, putting a sturdy sealant on the fountain…

…and painting a new masterpiece on the floor of our Painting and Drawing studio.

Can you tell what it is?! Star said that while the base of the walls in the studio depict the softness of rhododendron in the mist, the floor represents easy fluidity and obviously, our neighbor, the Green River. The design is supposed to be more abstract to feed the imaginations of our young artists while they create their own masterpieces.
