It has been a busy day to say the least here at Green River Preserve. Thankful for an extra thirty minutes to sleep in, the campers awoke bright eyed and bushy tailed, ready for the days activities. The entire camp headed out to Dupont Lake today where we enjoyed an amazingly nice picnic, swim time, some reading time and other fun activities.
We arrived back at base camp around four and switched into rest hour, then free time, before we flashed on back to “Throw Back Thursday” during dinner. The Spice Girls made an appearance along with Michael Jackson and some hippies. Needless to say it was a great dinner. After dinner we headed out to the front field where we threw on back to the “4th of July” and watched some amazing fireworks before calling it a night.
BRX—
I got a chance to make it down to the BRX base camp where I hung out with the kids and heard some pretty awesome stories from everyone, what a great group of kids, and they all were enjoying themselves immensely. It’s been a long, busy day full of fun activities from start to finish so all the kids were ready for bed, as am I. Until tomorrow.
