Bobby was interrupted in his grass cutting when he noticed a huge red Ferris in the GRP swimming pond.
Normally, the lake only holds bream, bass, and grass carp, so this was a remarkable and highly unusual discovery. When Phil, an avid fly fisherman, heard about the Ferris, he grabbed a 4 weight camp fly rod, ran to the lake, made a perfect presentation cast and actually hooked his quarry.
Here is the proud fisherman with his record catch. Until this record breaker, the largest catch ever made at Green River Preserve was a 40 pound grass carp caught by Les Vance. The new record is now a 1500 pound red Ferris landed by our own Phil. Congratulations.
