Baby bunnies!!

We have so many baby animals on the farm right now but possibly the cutest are the bunnies.
Mama and all 7 babies are healthy and happy and the babies have just started to open their eyes. Baby rabbits are born completely blind like puppies and kittens, with their eyes opening at around 10 days old.

These babies are a breed of rabbit called a Champagne d’ Argent, all the babies are born black and turn entirely silver by about 6 months old. We hope you are all just as excited to meet them as we are to have you here to meet them!!

When not cooking or farming for GRP, Rachel enjoys kayaking, traveling, reading, playing music, hiking, and spending time with their numerous animal & human friends. Rachel regularly teaches farming and gardening classes at local conferences and Blue Ridge Community College. She also operates Meriwether Gardens Flower Farm, selling flowers at local markets as well as providing floral designs services for events. Cooking has been one of Rachel’s favorite past times since childhood. She has always believed in the potential for food to change each of us as individuals, and as communities. She also remains firmly convinced that healthy eating can, and should, be fun and delicious!
