The expeditioners have been hiking non-stop since last Tuesday! On Tuesday, they climbed Pilot Rock and camped out near the climbing area. On Wednesday, they parked near the Sam Knob trailhead, hiked a little while and camped near the Deep Gap shelter. Yesterday they summited Pilot Mountain and when they got to the top, there were 360 degree views!! Today they are heading to the Davidson River campground and Worley’s Cove! The leaders said there the trip was wonderful, with beautiful weather! There was a lot of laughter and swimming in the Davidson River. While finding their inner peace, the BRXers also tried their hand at zen rock stacking. From the top of Black Mountain, the group saw the whole ridgeline, they had trekked. Now, the expeditioners and leaders are heading back to basecamp for some camp store shopping and well deserved hot supper!
