I can’t believe how quickly this summer has gone….and now Blue Ridge expeditions is almost over…
However, the last couple days have been amazing and full of learning opportunities. The group started their 5 day backpacking trip on Thursday.
Since then, they have been hiking 3-4 miles, on average, every day!
Everyone was excited to see the view of a huge rock face (cedar mountain) today. They’ve been learning about red efts, hemlock and sassafras tea, sweet birch tooth picks and coyotes.
Overall, the trip is going great. This is all the information we have heard from them so far, but more is sure to come!
