Meet Our Board

Anna Ruth
The key reason that I am interested in serving on the board of directors at this time is:
I believe strongly in the philosophy that drives this camp.
The thing that I would like to contribute to this organization this year is:
My time, my dedication and my desire to help GRP stay true to its mission.
I anticipate that the personal benefits I will receive by being on the board include:
When I volunteer my time to an organization, I do not really think about how I will benefit personally from the experience – but I guess a personal benefit would be a feeling of accomplishment.

Christopher Paul
The key reason that I am interested in serving on the board of directors at this time is:
Green River Preserve is the headwaters of essential environmental experience for all who visit. I want to enhance the growth and sustainability of the mission.
The thing that I would like to contribute to this organization this year is:
Developing the governance structure of the board to better support the directors in their planning for growth and sustainability. Additionally, guiding fundraising development.
I anticipate that the personal benefits I will receive by being on the board include:
The opportunity for service and connection to an institution I care deeply about.
To be an effective board member, I may need training or mentoring in the following:
Linking to resources on non-profit environmental governance, with a particular focus on fundraising and alumni.

Ed Dickinson
The key reason that I am interested in serving on the board of directors at this time is:
Long-range planning of GRP with a particular interest in partnerships for educational programs and the possible expansion of outreach such as through KALE.
The thing that I would like to contribute to this organization this year is:
More of my time to advise about the educational components and strengths of the GRP experience.
I anticipate that the personal benefits I will receive by being on the board include:
Growing awareness of the long-term vision of GRP, stimulation through interacting with other board members’ perspectives.
To be an effective board member, I may need training or mentoring in the following:
How to assist with the financial considerations related to future developments at GRP.

Kathy Worm
The key reason that I am interested in serving on the board of directors at this time is:
GRP has had such a significant influence on Thom that I would like the opportunity to give back and truly believe that there is a huge need for GRP to continue to develop bright young minds and instill the values of seeking joy, honesty, integrity and being good stewards of the land.
The thing that I would like to contribute to this organization this year is:
Guidance on growth and board development – really whatever is needed most.
I anticipate that the personal benefits I will receive by being on the board include:
Fun. Getting to know other board members. Excuse to go to GRP. Opportunity to contribute to a special place.
To be an effective board member, I may need training or mentoring in the following:
May need to bone up on feasibility studies and board development. Recently bought some management books recommended by a non-profit blog.

The key reason that I am interested in serving on the board of directors at this time is:
To stay in touch with GRP. Help increase camp attendance.
The thing that I would like to contribute to this organization this year is:
Camper attendance.
I anticipate that the personal benefits I will receive by being on the board include:
Working with staff and board members who place value on the GRP camp experience for children and their families.
To be an effective board member, I may need training or mentoring in the following:
