Our Blue Ridge Expeditioners hit the trail on Thursday and will spend the next couple of days exploring Pisgah National Forest. We heard briefly from the leaders this morning that the group is doing great, hiking fast, and enjoying being together outside. They made a delicious round of pizzas last night on the trail and will be exploring around the Davidson River today. I would anticipate some swimming in their future. All is well and everyone is safe and happy. They plan to return to the Reasonover base camp on Monday.
Our Outer Banks Expeditioners take off for their camping trip on the Banks today. They plan to spend the first 2 nights on Shakleford Island and then move towards Cape Lookout. Like BRX, this group is awesome and really enjoying their time together. They have strong paddling skills, which is super beneficial and helpful in accomplishing all they want to do. The weather looks beautiful, and I am sure we all wish we were there.
