Staying Afloat in Stormy Seas

The Outer Banks Expeditioners are paddling along at every opportunity and refusing to let storms get them down! After a jaunt toward Swansboro, a storm prompted a much-appreciated rest hour, some team-building activities, and meal planning for next week.

Once the storms passed, the day was finished off with swimming and an excellent dinner of pasta, meat sauce, and salad. The next day’s weather did not improve, but after some breakfast parfaits the trailer was loaded and the expeditioners requested a yoga session.

Following yoga, the group headed to Beaufort and the maritime museum for a brief escape from the elements.

Dinner that night provided a real treat of a sunset. Despite the expeditioners’ patience, yesterday’s storms and wind still persisted at Harkers Island, so the group rerouted to the sound in Swansboro. Last we heard, the group was spending the afternoon on the beach on Emerald Isle in good spirits!
