Goodbyes

Tonight Session 4 campers says goodbye and goodnight to Green River Preserve. They painted their spirit stones and left them at the Upper Council Fire with warm and happy hearts.

They enjoyed their last day of GLPs and learned many interesting things. A group of young potters took a trip to a locally famous potter’s place to learn the technique of Raku pottery. This process entails the firing of pottery instead of the traditional kiln.

Another group ventured out into the Flat Rock area where they toured the Carl Sandburg house and learned a lot of interesting history about a famous writer and his wife.
There were many, many goats.

As the day comes to an end we all are so appreciative of one another and having spent these two weeks in all our company. We wish our Session 4 campers safe travels and a wonderful rest of their summer vacations!
