For this week’s Staff Spotlight, we caught up with Emily Gaskin!
Q: What is your position at GRP this Summer?
A: Counselor
Q: How many years have you been at GRP?
A: This will be my first year at GRP.
Q: What are you currently doing?
A: I’m a rising sophomore at Wake Forest University in NC.
Q: What is your spirit animal and why?
A: I’m a koala according to BuzzFeed because I love to hang out and am always pretty calm.
Q: What are you passionate about?
A: I am passionate about being outside and spending time with people I care about.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do outside?
A: Hike!
Q: Tell us about your favorite trip/experience.
A: I went backpacking this summer in the Rockies; that was definitely my favorite trip by far.
Q: Why did you choose to come to GRP this summer?
A: I love all of the nature orientated activities and importance that is placed on the campers interactions with nature.
Q: What is something interesting that happened to you this year?
A: Something interesting that happened to me this year was going through my first year of college.
Q: Where is your favorite place to hike?
A: I love to hike in the Denali National Park in Alaska. Everything there is so pretty and on an extremely clear day you can see Denali.
