Staff Spotlight: Ellia Leger

For today’s Staff Spotlight, we caught up with Ellia Leger!

Q: What is your position at GRP this Summer?
A: Counselor

Q: How many years have you been at GRP?
A: This will be my first year at GRP.

Q: What are you currently doing?
A: I am attending Bradley University to become a Mechanical Engineer.

Q: What is your spirit animal and why?
A: Monkey, they like to climb trees just like me :)

Q: What are you passionate about?
A: Gymnastics

Q: What is your favorite thing to do outside?
A: Backpacking

Q: Tell us about your favorite trip/experience.
A: My favorite trip is when I went to Oregon with my brothers and friend. We went down to Wizard Island in the middle of Crater Lake. We hiked, climbed, and swam the whole day.

Q: Why did you choose to come to GRP this summer?
A: For all the amazing opportunities that it has to develop such a wide range of skills.

Q: What is something interesting that happened to you this year?
A: I got to go down to Louisiana to visit family and went crawfishing for the first time. It was a really interesting experience that I was able to share with my father and his family.

Q: Where is your favorite place to hike?
A: Sandy Ridge in Central Illinois. It has amazing trees to climb and a wide range of scenes to gaze upon. It is also a perfect day hike place that has many different trails. One could never get bored at this park.
