Today marks day two of BRX1! Around noon yesterday, Blue Ridge Expeditioners enjoyed some snacks while checking in and meeting one another in front of Sandy and Missy’s house. The rest of their day entailed settling in to their new home for the next two weeks, getting to know each other and their leaders through games such as Deer Ears, having their own Respect Circle, and reviewing group norms. Last night’s dinner was a great hit with bean burritos.
This morning at their base camp, they hit the ground running by packing in preparation to go to a rock climbing site in Pisgah National Forest, which they are currently driving to. They intend to spend the night camping near the rock in order to get an early start challenging themselves tomorrow morning. The BRX crew reports that they are excited for good times and more good food!
