Hi! I’m Emily

Program Intern

Emily has always been a lover of the North Carolina Mountains and is so excited to return home for her third summer on the Preserve. Born in Princeton, New Jersey, Emily now lives in the Lowcountry of South Carolina with her parents and dog, Amos. For the past two summers, Emily was a counselor- and loved every minute of it- and she is excited for the opportunity to work “behind the scenes” as the Program Intern. Currently a rising senior at Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, NC, she is studying Elementary Education and Cultural Anthropology. On campus, she is involved in many organizations such as Best Buddies, and tutors for a local elementary school. This year Emily was able to study abroad in New Zealand, where she spent most of her time backpacking, exploring the country, and traveling to Indonesia, Fiji, and more! Emily cannot wait to get back to camp to connect with friends, both new and old!
