Raised by medical parents and a life-long athlete, June Ellen has woven a love of health and healing through her varied and extensive career. Whether it was discovering plant-medicines in Ecuador, studying and seeing clients as an herbalist at the Adawehi Healing Center in the Blue Ridge Foothills, leading art therapy at CooperRiis Mental Health Healing Farm, or guiding the Agricultural Economic Development department in Polk County, NC, she has followed the thread of uncovering how individual health is interconnected with community health. Today, she brings her leadership, creativity, and dedication to the Whole Health Nation forum, which she founded in 2017, to provide resources which expand personal choices and to support local community entities that administer health opportunities. She loves working at Green River Preserve as part of a dedicated, loving camp family in service to helping kids seek the joy in nature.
