Outer Banks Expeditions Leader

Alex is an outdoor educator originally from Columbia, South Carolina. He found his love of camp and the outdoors at Camp Kanuga right down the road in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Alex attended Wake Forest University and majored in English and Creative Writing. While in college, Alex continued his camp career as a counselor at Camp Kanuga and Kanuga Conferences. Once he graduated, he started working as an outdoor educator. For the past three years he has taught ecology classes, supervised high ropes courses, and led canoeing and backpacking expeditions. This is Alex’s is first summer at GRP, and he is thrilled to a part of this fantastic experience!
