All the GLPs

During our first day of Group Learning Projects, we enjoyed a range of full-day activities. One group of campers created fire by friction. Some groups left Base Camp to adventure into the Preserve’s 3,400 acres and our fly fishing group went all the way down the road to fish in the lake at Terra Nova. Farmer Phil had a bunch of campers visit the GRP Farm, for what was labeled as “Farm Free Time,” but what they really did was hangout, eat fresh veggies and play a round or two of “Farm Golf.” For the most part, GLPs give our campers the chance to try something new or retry something they love. It’s also a great way to switch up the regular camp routine and have a day of play that isn’t narrated by the traditional daily schedule. Tomorrow, we’ll have one last full day of GLPs and then…Closing Ceremonies. It’ll be the last day of Session 4 before pickup and if there’s one thing I know, it’s that this particular session went by far too fast!
