As an outdoor enthusiast with a love for animals, Evan has spent countless hours exploring various outdoor environments to catch a glimpse of the creatures that call them home. These adventures have fostered a deep appreciation of nature’s unrivaled ability to inspire curiosity, personal growth, and awe. Since Evan grew up in Utah, he has a special place in his heart for Utah’s national and state parks, such as Arches National Park and Antelope Island. Due to his interest in nature and positively impacting other people’s lives, Evan is pursuing his bachelor’s degree in recreational therapy at the University of Utah. During his career, Evan has volunteered for adaptive recreation programs like the National Ability Center. His favorite part of these experiences has been the opportunity to help teach other people new skills, such as turning on the skiing slopes. This summer will be Evan’s first time working at the Green River Preserve; he is so excited to join the family! He hopes to be able to observe at least one Marbled Salamander and a Big Brown Bat during his time at Green River Preserve.
