Hi, I am Sam!

The name is Samuel Yael Garzon, but all his friends call him Sam. He recently graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a mix of journalism and environmental studies under his belt. When he is not diving into a gripping novel or planning his next move in a game of Magic: The Gathering (his all-time favorite!), you’ll catch him soaking up the sun on the trails. This past 6 months, Sam has been on a real adventure exploring his homeland of Colombia, taking in all its jaw-dropping landscapes and hiking through its breathtaking scenery; Oh and he also loves a good old Dungeons & Dragons campaign! To him, GRP holds a special place in his heart. There’s something about returning to a place where every tree holds a memory and every friend feels like home. There’s nothing quite like the thrill of discovering new trails and soaking in the beauty of nature. It’s been an incredible journey, and Sam can’t wait to share his love for the outdoors with all of you at GRP this summer.
