Senior Mentor

Hawk has called the Western North Carolina Mountains home, since 1988. He and his wife, Ayal, own and operate Homestead Retreat - a small farm and learning center near Asheville, NC. Hawk enjoys making and playing Native American-style flutes and drums, storytelling, and discovering the uses of edible and medicinal plants. Assisting young people to ‘seek the joy of being alive’ while exploring the great outdoors, has kept Hawk serving as a Mentor at GRP for over 30 years.
