As we enter the last week of Session 4, we realize that there are still many adventures to be had. Today, we spent the morning exploring the Preserve. Mentor Hikes lead 10 different groups of campers into the untouched forests of GRP, to learn, to play and to experience nature in a truly beautiful setting. It’s easy to find yourself in awe of this place on a daily basis. The closer we get to the end of the week, the more we appreciate every aspect of the community and the experiences we share together. It isn’t often a large group of people can live and thrive harmoniously. Here, I find that each day I see something new that inspires me, from seeing campers lend a helping hand, to campers conquering their fear in the Cave or the Climbing Wall. Tomorrow brings the last round of hikes and the last day of our normal camp schedule. If we’re lucky, maybe we’ll get another Grand Slam!
